Preparation

Ensure your vehicle's paint is clean and free of contaminants. Wash and dry it thoroughly.

If you're using a pre-cut kit, carefully organize the pieces according to their placement on the vehicle..

Cleaning the Surface

  • Mix isopropyl alcohol with water in a spray bottle to create a cleaning solution.
  • Spray the cleaning solution on the areas where you'll apply the PPF.
  • Wipe the surface with a microfiber towel to remove any dirt, wax, or residue.

Applying the Film

  • If using a pre-cut kit, start with one of the larger pieces. Peel off the backing of the film to expose the adhesive side.
  • Hold the film by the edges, align it with the target area, and apply it gradually, using a squeegee to push out any air bubbles or wrinkles.

Remember that installing PPF requires patience and precision. If you're unsure about any step, it's a good idea to seek professional help. Additionally, follow the specific instructions provided by the manufacturer of the PPF product you're using, as different brands might have slight variations in installation techniques.

Finalize the Installation:

  • Give the film another pass with the squeegee to ensure proper adhesion.
  • If necessary, use the heat gun again to help the film settle and bond.

Repeat for Other Sections

Follow the same steps to apply the PPF to other areas you wish to protect.
